How UAE Pet Price Tracker checks store prices.

This project reads public product data from selected UAE pet-store websites, stores a timestamped snapshot, and links every visible offer back to the seller. It is built to help buyers compare faster without pretending checkout prices are frozen in stone.

Snapshot basis checked July 23, 2026: latest local data was generated on July 23, 2026 with 13 sources checked, 12 sources live, 4,154 offers, 1,522 product groups, and 40 exact-match candidates. Zooandpet timed out during the latest refresh.

What is included

• Public product titles, prices, stock labels, categories, seller names, and product URLs where available.
• A timestamp for when the snapshot was generated.
• Source status, including failed feeds, alternate feed methods, or stores that could not be checked cleanly.
• CSV export for offline checking and future validation.

What is excluded

• Delivery fees, free-shipping thresholds, cart-only discounts, subscriptions, coupons, and loyalty points unless visible in public product data.
• Veterinary, nutrition, quality, safety, or suitability recommendations.
• Marketplace prices from Amazon, Noon, or similar platforms unless a compliant API, affiliate feed, or manually verified source is available.

Why source status matters

Pet stores change feeds, block requests, rename products, run temporary promos, and mark stock differently. A transparent source list is more useful than a magical price table with no audit trail. Magic is expensive; JSON is cheaper.

The Pet Shop is checked through its public Shopify Storefront API because its classic Shopify products JSON endpoint returns the Hydrogen storefront HTML instead of product JSON.

Pet Corner is checked from its public product sitemap and product pages. The parser reads visible product-page price fields and stock labels, so Pet Corner offers are treated as page-derived snapshots rather than feed-certified checkout prices.

Pet's Delight is checked from public Magento category pages for cat and dog food, treats, and supplies. The parser keeps only products with a visible AED price and links buyers to the public seller page for checkout verification.

Petzone UAE is checked from its public UAE Klevu search index. The tracker uses the UAE route and AED search key, not the default Kuwait/KWD route, then keeps records with public product URLs and AED prices.
